Ford files patent to draw advertisement content from billboards and show it on MID
If you thought advertisements during YouTube videos or pop-ups on websites were pesky, Ford plans to take it to another level of annoying.
They ve filed a patent for technology that draws information from billboards and show it on the MID. As intrusive and distracting as it sounds, it may just be vey likely that this becomes a reality.
Quote: The Ford Motor Company has announced the passing of a patent for a new program that will draw information from the billboard ads surrounding the area where a Ford-manufactured car is driving and display segments of that data on the vehicle s infotainment display for the driver s viewing.
While the US has supported the waiver only for vaccines – after having opposed the main proposal since last October – most developing countries favour the inclusion of vaccines, treatments, diagnostic kits, protective gear, ventilators and therapeutics.
